Horses for Sale -- We are in the process of placing our lesson horses, a select few of our breeding stock, and some of our young stock in working homes. All of our horses are registered in at least one breed association. Some are also registered in color and/or discipline associations. We are down to letting go of the best of our stock - those we had kept for our own programs. Some types of homes we are looking for:
Endurance - for an easy keeper 4-year-old half-Arabian, 1/4 Mustang, 1/4 Paint gelding with 60 days professional training focusing on trail and ranch skills. Saddle started at 3 1/2 yrs old, his quiet, calm, accepting, and adaptable temperament masks the willing athlete in this horse. Far above average stamina, coupled with the Mustang speed and agility propelled by a huge effortless stride. All this inside a physical package combining the best of his breeds - Mustang hooves, clean legs, Arabian heart girth and nostrils, short back, well angled shoulder and croup, balanced head and neck. Definitely a future winner for the serious endurance rider. For additional information, please visit JOCEPHI's page.
Therapeutic and Show - for a well-trained, dual registered 8-year-old Buckskin mare. Shown by children in halter, showmanship, western pleasure, arena trail class, hunter under saddle and over fences, and equitation. Autism, Tourrets, Down syndrome, and advanced MS bring out the nurturing side of this mare. Not suited for trail use as she has never been trained for trails. We are discontinuing our lesson program and this mare needs to stay working as she lives for her contact with children and special needs riders and handlers. For additional information, please visit APRIL's page. 4/11/11: April has been leased as a lessons horse to Southwood Riding Academy.
Sport Horse or Performance - for a grey 5-year-old Appendix Quarter Horse mare. One semester of western pleasure training at a college equestrian program as a 3-years-old, 30 days professional hunt seat training at 4 years old. Kind and calm with a smooth steady gait, beautiful forwardness and carriage make her a very cute hunter prospect. Good size, agility, responsiveness, and tracking for cattle. Speed bred into every cell. The royalty in this mare's bloodlines would be proud of her. For additional information, please visit MOONGUARD's page.
Extreme Performance or Sport Horse - for a 10-year-old chestnut mare. This is a very special mare that will only go to the perfect home. This mare was Deanna's personal horse and thus was used in every discipline. All levels of trail work, working cattle, hunt seat, cross country, anything and everything was a challenge this mare has accepted and excelled at. Deanna's physical abilities have deteriorated too much to keep this mare working. Only a home with an active rider that can ride up to this mare's abilities will be considered.
